40 Biology videos (Over 7 hours!) covering topics such as water, membranes, molecules, photosynthesis, and many more topics in biology. These topics cover human, plant, and animal biology. These videos have been vetting and approved by the tutors of the Tacoma Community College Writing and Tutoring Center.

Overall, this website contains a ton of information about anatomy and human biology, but expect a less than stellar user interface.

Virtual Body provides information and interactive activities to help students learn about the human body, including specifically the brain, skeleton, heart, and digestive tract. Each of the 4 body sections includes a narrated ‘tour’ of that area of the human body, a visual diagram where you can hover over parts and see the name and definition, and an activity to practice putting together all the parts.
MDCT’s Gray’s Anatomy Online site provides PowerPoint’s teaching the various parts of the human body as listed. You are able to click on any of the body areas or systems listed and download the actual PowerPoint which gives information and images to teach you. There are also other resources on the MDCT site which you can find in the quick links side menu or in the main top menu.

The Histology Zoomer site, created by Yakima Valley Community College, provides tutorials on the epithelium, muscles, connective tissue, nervous tissue, and endocrine tissue. The site includes image libraries for study and identification practice. The Dichotomous key for identifying basic tissue types is useful. The site also provides histology quizzes that students can use to test their knowledge.

Learn.Genetics from the Genetic Science Learning Center of The University of Utah, is an awesome collection of interactive learning modules for many science topics from understanding DNA to the affects of drugs on the brain. The collection includes game-like interactive animations that explain scientific processes, slides with audio, and informational pages you can read while interacting with slides that model what you are learning. This is a great site to explore if you are taking any kind of science course and need some more visual and entertaining material to study with!
